Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Microsoft Intune provides comprehensive management for iOS/iPadOS devices (via Apple Business Manager) and Android devices (via Android Enterprise). It also manages Windows and macOS laptops. All platforms are managed from the same Intune console.
In MDM mode (full device management, typically used for company devices), Intune can see device information including installed apps and compliance status, but cannot read personal messages, photos, or app content. In MAM mode (app-level management for BYOD), Intune manages only the Microsoft 365 apps — it has no visibility into personal apps or any personal data.
For company devices enrolled in full MDM, AMVIA can remotely wipe the device — removing all data and resetting to factory settings. For personal devices managed via MAM, a selective wipe removes company data from the Microsoft 365 apps while leaving personal content untouched.
For company-owned devices purchased through Apple Business Manager or Android Enterprise zero-touch, enrolment is automatic — the device configures itself when first switched on. For BYOD devices, staff download the Intune Company Portal app and follow an enrolment process that takes approximately five minutes. AMVIA provides clear instructions for both scenarios.
