AMVIA Technology Partners
AMVIA works with a carefully selected group of technology vendors and network carriers to deliver managed IT, cybersecurity, and connectivity services. We choose partners based on product quality, support standards, and commercial alignment with UK SME requirements — not on margin alone.
Quick answer
AMVIA's technology partners are the vendors and carriers behind every service we run: Microsoft, Barracuda Networks, CityFibre, BT Wholesale, DrayTek, Ubiquiti UniFi and our own AmviaIQ platform. We pick each one on product quality and UK support, then take single accountability for the lot. One provider. Security-first. Microsoft-certified.
How We Work with Partners
Technology selection
We evaluate and select vendor partners based on product capability, reliability, UK support quality, and commercial terms. AMVIA maintains active relationships with a focused set of best-of-breed partners rather than an exhaustive catalogue.
Integration into service delivery
Partner technologies are integrated into AMVIA's service delivery model — including AmviaIQ monitoring, our support workflows, and client onboarding processes.
Ongoing management
We manage vendor and carrier relationships on your behalf — including licence management, renewal negotiation, fault escalation, and contract oversight.

How does AMVIA choose its technology partners?
We choose partners on product capability, reliability, UK support quality and commercial terms — never on margin alone. AMVIA keeps a focused, best-of-breed roster rather than an exhaustive reseller catalogue, so every product we recommend is one our engineers actually run in production for clients.
That discipline matters because your supplier chain is part of your attack surface. The NCSC's supply chain security guidance treats third-party technology as a first-order risk, so we vet vendors on their security posture and patch record, not just their feature list. If a product can't be supported well in the UK, it doesn't make our managed cybersecurity stack.
- Capability — does the product solve a real SME problem properly, not partially?
- Support — is there fast, UK-based support and a clear escalation path?
- Security — does the vendor patch quickly and publish a credible security record?
- Commercials — fair, transparent pricing without lock-in traps.
Which vendors power AMVIA's services?
AMVIA's ecosystem spans Microsoft for productivity and security, Barracuda for email and network defence, CityFibre and BT Wholesale for connectivity, and DrayTek and Ubiquiti for on-site networking. AmviaIQ, our own monitoring platform, ties them together with real-time visibility across every managed environment.
| Partner | What it provides | AMVIA service it powers |
|---|---|---|
| Microsoft | Microsoft 365, Azure, Defender, Teams, Intune | Microsoft 365 security |
| Barracuda Networks | Email security, web filtering, backup, network security | Managed cybersecurity |
| CityFibre | Full-fibre metro network for leased lines and broadband | Business leased lines |
| BT Wholesale | Openreach FTTP, SOGEA and leased-line access UK-wide | Business broadband |
| DrayTek | Business-grade routing and networking hardware | Managed IT support |
| Ubiquiti UniFi | Enterprise Wi-Fi and switching for SME offices | Managed IT support |
| AmviaIQ | AMVIA's proprietary monitoring and alerting platform | All managed services |
AMVIA is a Microsoft Solutions Partner (Modern Work, Security, and Infrastructure) with expertise across the full Microsoft 365 stack. Barracuda's email and network platform sits alongside Microsoft Defender as the core of our cybersecurity service stack — those two suites do the heavy lifting, with no bolt-on tools clients have to think about.
Microsoft — productivity and security
Microsoft 365, Azure, Microsoft Defender, Teams and Intune underpin how most UK SMEs work. As a Microsoft Solutions Partner, AMVIA deploys, hardens and monitors these tools — turning licences you already pay for into a defended environment rather than a default install. Microsoft calling and Teams telephony also feed our business VoIP services.
Barracuda Networks — email and network defence
Barracuda handles email security, web filtering, backup and network protection. It is one half of AMVIA's two-vendor security stack, paired with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, which our in-house 24/7 SOC monitors directly. No third-party MDR layer, no mystery agents — just two well-run platforms under one roof.
CityFibre and BT Wholesale — connectivity
CityFibre gives clients access to full-fibre metropolitan networks for leased lines and high-speed broadband across covered UK cities. BT Wholesale provides national reach over Openreach for FTTP, SOGEA and leased-line circuits, so AMVIA can connect a single office or a multi-site estate on the best available infrastructure.
DrayTek, Ubiquiti UniFi and AmviaIQ — on-site and oversight
DrayTek routers and Ubiquiti UniFi Wi-Fi and switching are deployed across our connectivity client base for reliability and feature depth. AmviaIQ, our own platform, gives real-time visibility and proactive alerting across every managed environment — so faults are caught before clients notice them.
How does AMVIA manage partner technology on your behalf?
AMVIA owns the whole vendor relationship so you don't have to. We handle licence management, renewal negotiation, fault escalation and contract oversight across every partner — one accountable point of contact instead of a spreadsheet of vendor support lines. When something breaks, you call us, not Microsoft, Barracuda or your carrier.
This is the practical meaning of single accountability: no finger-pointing between suppliers, no chasing your own renewals, and no surprise where a connectivity fault and a security alert turn out to be the same incident. We also hold Cyber Essentials Plus, the UK government-backed standard, so the way we manage your stack is itself independently assessed.
Why does a single accountable partner matter for UK SMEs?
For a 10–500 staff business without a large IT team, juggling six vendors is where things fall through the cracks. A single accountable provider means one contract, one escalation route and one team that sees security, IT and connectivity as one system — which is exactly how attackers see it too.
| Approach | Multiple separate vendors | AMVIA as single partner |
|---|---|---|
| Accountability | Split — vendors blame each other | One provider owns the outcome |
| Renewals | You track each contract | Managed and negotiated for you |
| Fault resolution | You triage which supplier to call | One escalation path |
| Security visibility | Fragmented across tools | Unified via AmviaIQ and our SOC |
| Vendor selection | Margin-led upsell risk | Best-fit product, not best margin |
AMVIA supports more than 1,200 UK businesses on this model, with a customer rating of 4.8/5. We will recommend the right products for your requirements — without defaulting to the most expensive option or the one with the best partner margin.
